After check-in and the opening orientation meeting, campers took a general knowledge placement test. The high scorers for that test were:
1) Ryan Reid - Ezell Harding (TN)
2) Andrew Deveau - St. Ignatius (IL)
3) Ben Nims - Ezell Harding (TN)
4) Lloyd Sy - Rockford Auburn (IL)
t5) Jim Coury - Olmsted Falls (OH)
t5) Joe Nutter - Walnut Hills (OH)
After dinner, campers competed in the first tournament of the camp, the “Wild Man” Tournament. Competing individually, not as members of a team, campers played three preliminary matches. The top 11 advanced to the championship match. The top three finishers overall were:
1) Ben Chametzky - Carbondale (IL)
2) Andrew Deveau - St. Ignatius (IL)
3) Nolan Winkler - Chicago Loyola (IL)
